Website Inspiration

As my video will be very heavily influenced by Little Mix's Music Video for their song Hair, I wanted to look at their website to use it for inspiration.

This is their current website:

Test Shots of My Location

The video will mostly be set in my house which I have filmed to test for lighting and aesthetics. I have two main pieces that I have filmed so far, but I will also be using my kitchen for some intimate scenes of making or cooking and the conservatory is the most likely place to be filming the performance element during the chorus.

Annotated Lyrics

In the first verse, I would like to have a short scene of the protagonist and their boyfriend at the beach when an argument breaks out between the two of them and they break up.

After this, I would have the protagonist have a phone call, which cuts to the other girls in the music video as they all agree to meet up for the music video.

They arrive at the house of the pj party which is the main location during the pre-chorus

During the chorus of the song, I would have the 'band' of girls together singing the song as a performance element in one of the areas of my house in a very dramatic and exaggerated fashion.

This is to convey the teenage heartbreak which I would like to focus my music video on.

Each member will have their own instrument such as an electric guitar, a base guitar and an electric keyboard.
The protagonist will be the front woman singing with a microphone.
During the bridge, I would have the group watching a movie or cooking or baking which are typical activities that occur at sleepovers and pyjama parties.
This is to emphasise the point that they are finding unity in their friendship to keep their minds off their relationship issues.

The chorus will be the performance of the girls again with their instruments.

In the third verse, I would have the protagonist stalk their ex with intertextual reference to social media and an activity that most of the target audience would recognise.

The rest of the girls will catch them, but throw the phone away to bring a sense of empowerment to the audience, showing not to rely on men for their happiness.
